Son of Buren Murphy & "Stella" [Lancaster] Murphy-Ballard.

Alex Tribune, Thursday, October 19, 1939: "Youth Fractures Skull - James Murphy, 13 year old son of Mrs. Stella Ballard, southwest of town, is in a Chickasha hospital with a fractured skull believed to have been caused by a fall from a car on which he had been riding a short while before being found unconscious beside a road near his home Sunday evening. Hospital authorities state that James has a fair chance to recover, although the full extent of his injuries were undetermined Monday evening. A younger brother, Doyle, who was with his brother at the time escaped with minor bruises."

James Thomas Murphy - James Thomas Murphy was born October 26, 1926, and passed on October 17, 1939, thus being seven days under thirteen years of age. James was a loving and obedient boy and will be sadly missed by his family. He leaves to mourn his untimely departure his mother, Stella Lee Ballard, his father, Buren Murphy, five brothers, Doyle and Junior Murphy and Billy, Elroy and "Saymond" Lavell Ballard, one sister, Fay Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Lancaster, the grandparents, and several uncles and aunts together with many young friends and schoolmates.
