Billy Dewane Ballard, 78, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 in Lawton.

Billy was born Friday, March 8, 1935 in Alex, Oklahoma, to Johnny Armstrong Ballard and Stella Marie (Lancaster) Ballard. Billy grew up and lived in the Lindsay area before moving to Killgore, Texas for 35 years. He came to Marlow in 2012. Billy proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and telling jokes to everyone. Billy was a jack of all trades and a hard worker in all of his endeavors. His work experience included hauling hay, operating a Fina gas station in Lindsay, working for Western Oil Company, running a limousine service, and owning and operating Bill's Septic Tank Service.

Survivors include,
two daughters; Donna Dutton and husband Randy of Marlow,
Sarah Ann Malone of Tishomingo,
six grandchildren; Kristy Keesee, Kari Kuykendall, Heath Kuykendall, Micheal Scott, Malina Ballard, and Kacey Ballard,
13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way,
three brothers; Raymond Ballard, Roland Ballard, and Wayne Halsey,
three sisters; Pat Lawless, Hazel Faye, and Shelia Henson

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, son, Billy Dewayne Ballard Jr., grandson, Brian Ballard, brothers, Elroy and Johnny Ballard Jr., sisters, Geneva Keck, Reba Mantooth, and Lequita Nunn, step-mother, Hazel Ballard. Billy is also now with his best friend from Killgore, Richard Vickers, who passed away this past Saturday, July 27.
