NOBIE TAYLOR SPARKS
1917 - 2010

Nobie Taylor Sparks, 93, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010.
She was Catholic and a member of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church. She worked over 20 years and retired as an executive secretary from Florida Vocational Rehabilitation.
Nobie loved her family and always put them first. She was the special one who always gave her newly born grandchildren their "first bath" when they came home from the hospital. She enjoyed cooking for them at big family gatherings and was known for her special lasagna recipe. She was an extraordinary and loving wife, mother, and nana who will be greatly missed.

Nobie was preceded in death by her nine brothers and her parents, George Houston Taylor and Lelia Daughtie Taylor. Also preceding her in death was her loving husband of 67 years, Lowery Lee Sparks, and her two sons, Gary Wayne Sparks and Lowery Houston Sparks.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Patterson (John); her son, Robert Sparks (Pat); her grandchildren, Brian Watson (Andrea), Patrick Watson, Sherron Smith (Kelly), Lisa Sparks, Houston Sparks (Anne), Kristi Fisher (Todd); as well as her great-grandchildren, Logan and Erick Smith, Christopher Sparks, Kaylie and Morgan Sparks, Elaina and Katy Fisher; and her great-great-grandson, Christopher Sparks, Jr.
Visitation will be held 5:30pm to 7:30pm Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rosary to be prayed at 5:30pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30am Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Hector R.G. Perez, S.T.D. celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoluem.
