Nellie Weiler Brown Hafen, age 83, died Wednesday, February 26, 1992 at Dixie Regional Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 2, 1908 at Salt Lake City, Utah to Jacob Malin and Lillian Susannah Nicholson Weiler. She married Anthony Morelos Brown August 18, 1925, Salt Lake City, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death February 16, 1970. She married Guy Hafen, June 5, 1972. He preceded her in death April 25, 1983.
Surviving family members include seven sons and six daughters, Elaine and Lynn Shaw, Midvale; Gaylen W. and Bonnie Brown, West Jordan; A. Ray and Merlyn Brown, Holiday; Suzanne and Paul Pearson, Salt Lake City; Dianne and Kent Marsden, West Valley City; JoAnne and Robert Shaw, Layton; Leona and DeWayne Olsen, Pleasant Grove; Russell A. and Patricia Brown, South Jordan; Orson P. and Veralyn Brown, St. George; Michael D. Brown, Salt Lake City; Kathleen and William Randall, West Valley City; Miles G. and Jackie Brown, Riverton; C. Weiler and Chris Brown, West Jordan; and Robert and Edith Small, Midvale; 68 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Brown.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 29, 1992 at 2 p.m. in the St. George LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 200 West 500 North, where friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. A viewing will be held Monday, March 2, 1992 at 1 p.m. in the Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, with a graveside service at 2 p.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
