Services for Nat Kizer, 90, of Lubbock, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. Ted Dotts officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock.

He died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002.

He was born Dec. 6, 1911, in Winters. He married Juanita Casey on March 3, 1944, in Wichita Falls. He moved to Durant, Okla., with his family and graduated high school there. He graduated from Southeastern State University in Oklahoma. He served overseas with the Air Force during World War II. He retired from the Air Force as a lieutenant colonel and returned to Lubbock.

He was employed as personnel administrator with the Veterans Administration. He worked in Big Spring and later at Reese Air Force Base. He was an office manager for Cardiology Associates. He also worked for St. Mary's Hospital and sold real estate.

He volunteered at the Senior Citizen's Center, St. Mary's Hospital and through the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. He served on the board of the YWCA and was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Karla Wardroup and Kris Kizer, both of Lubbock; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
