Salley - Mrs. Eva Corbett Cooper, 89, entered into rest peacefully Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Jackie Branham. Mrs. Cooper is survived by her children Bobby (Bea) Cooper of Orangeburg, Helen Love of Summerton, and Jackie Branham of West Columbia, grandchildren Cindy Cooper, Becky Odom, Loxie (Richie) Rael, Debra Love-Fralix (Robin Fralix), Ken Branham and Gwen Branham, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law; Addie Brown of Salley, Kitty (Marvin) Widener of Santee and Arthur Brown of Columbia. She is predeceased by her parents Mike Corbett and Kittie Corbett Yon, husband Barron Cooper, siblings Baker Corbett and Ida Brown, grandchildren Ricky Love and Barry Cooper and great grandchild Leighton Rael. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Cooper had a servant's heart, loving her family, church family and the many children she kept over the years. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 29th, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Blizzard Funeral Home, 153 Main St. South, Wagener, S.C. , (803) 564-5333. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 30th, at 4:00 pm in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Springfield, with the Revs. Robbie Croft and Henry Cooper officiating. Mrs. Cooper will be placed in the church an hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Salley Oak View Cemetery, Salley.
