My 3rd-great grandmother, Jeanette Cooper Hulsey was the daughter of Benjamin and Temperance (Leeman) Cooper, and a sister to Cornelius Cooper, Anna Cooper Clark, and Sally Cooper Stone who all also migrated to adjacent counties in TX from GA at the time Jeanette and William migrated. All four of these siblings were children of Benjamin's first wife, Temperance Leeman. Their parents Benjamin and Temperance were married 4 Nov. 1794 in Granville Co., NC, and Temperance died after 19 May 1814 (date of her father's will where she was mentioned as still living) and before the 1820 Hall Co., GA census.

Jeanette and William Hulsey were married 17 Jan. 1822 in Hall Co., GA. They had nine children: Ann, Tempe, Mary, Elizabeth, Clarissa, Jane, Lucinda, and two daughters whose names I have not yet discovered.
