HYNDMAN,PENNSYLVANIA — Alzene L. Sweitzer, 82, of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 15, 2010 at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, Md.

Born Nov. 24, 1927 in Kennells Mill, she was a daughter of the late Roy E. and Naomi B. (Emerick) Kennell. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Harvey S. Bittner and Millard J. Sweitzer; a son, Harry Bittner; brothers, John and Stanley Kennell; sisters, Idella Lucero, Madeline Dom, Emma Bittner, and Arvada Ruth Imler.

She is survived by a son, Allen Bittner and wife Kim of Kennells Mill; four grandchildren, Michael Bittner, Lisa Smith, Jason and Derek Bittner; three great-grandchildren, Shaine, Rian and Kylie Bittner; a brother, Gerald Kennell and wife Ilene; sisters, Frances Troutman and husband Richard, Marion Romesburg and Marybelle White all of Kennells Mill.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lance Tucker officiating.

Burial will follow at Comps Cemetery, Hyndman.
