He rejoined the love of his life of 50 years, Thelma. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was born November 1, 1926 to George and Filka Butkovich Zupan in Sandy, Utah.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. George worked for Utah Power and Light for 32 years. He retired in 1983. He loved to work on the farm and loved old farm machinery. He married Thelma M. Holm October 31, 1949. Together they had three daughters and one son. He devoted all of his retired life to his family and friends. If any thing needed fixing-"Call for George!", and everyone he met liked him.
He is survived by daughters, Linda (Glen) Roderick, Charlene Halligan, Connie (Tom) Nunley, all Sandy; son, George C. (Teresa) Zupan, South Jordan; son by choice, Mike (Michelle) Radivoyevich, Midvale; grandchildren, Marie (Ryan), Glen (Kim), Joe, Jenny, Jake, Julie (Brandon), Scott, Michael, Colton; great grandchildren, Dakota, Dyllan, Jordan, McKenzie, Tristan; sister, Katherine Coleman; brother, Steve Zupan; sister-in-law, Evelyn Holm, Doris Zupan, Joyce Zupan, Charlotte Zupan; brother-in-law, Al Simonich; also many loved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; parents; brothers, Nick, Jack, Dan, Joe; sister, Mary; sisters-in-law, Ann, Lucille, Gina; brother-in-law, Don.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State where friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. or Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
