Minerva Rosecrans Godfrey Hall was born 10 January 1863, Blount CO., Tennessee to Robert G. Godfrey and Serena Mays Godfrey. Minerva married Wm. Thomas Hall 27 November 1884 in Knoxville, Tn. They had three children: Maude, Wilfred Harold and Zella Margaret. On 1 March 1897, while residing on Callawell Street, Knoxville, with husband and children, Minerva succumbed to cancer at age 34. She is buried in Old Gray sharing a headstone with her late sister, Susan Porthena Godfrey Shields who died of Typhoid Fever at age 25 in March 1886.Minerva's husband, Wm Thomas Hall is buried in Old Gray.
