J. L. Red died at the home of his son, C.J. Redd in Weinert on Monday night. Mr. Red came to Weinert a month ago to visit his son. J.L. Red moved to McKinney, Texas in 1893 where he had been prominently identified with the affairs of McKinney. He became a member of the Baptist Church in 1883. Survivors include seven sons and three daughters - C.J. Red, I.W. Red, J.N. Red, J.L. Red, L.J. Red, A.C. Red, V.L. Red, Mrs. Ellon McDonald, Mrs. Beulah Evins, Mrs. Ethel Coldiron; 42 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
