Brother James Redd was born January 30, 1830; was married to Miss Mahala Sewell September 20, 1847, and joined the Baptist church at Friendship, Forsyth County, Georgia, in November, 1847, and lived a consistent member of the same until his death...
Brother Redd departed this life September 24, and was buried on September 25 at Friendship cemetery in presence of a large concourse of relations and friends, the funeral ceremony being performed by Revs. H.T. Ingram and J.L. Wyatt.
Brother Redd leaves a wife, one son, three daughters and quite a number of grandchildren to mourn their loss.
