Arthur Emmett Alexander "Scotty" Jr., 71, of Mullinville and formerly of the Satanta area, died Sunday, May 23, 2010.

He was born Oct. 2, 1938, in Garden City, to Arthur E. Sr. and Susie Mae Dean Alexander.

On March 17, 1957, he married Joanna Mae Shelite. She preceded him in death, as did his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Mr. Alexander was a farmer/rancher.

Survivors include two daughters, Rita L. Norwood of Lewisville, Texas, and T. Renee Bertelsen of Caldwell, Idaho; two sons, Joe R. Alexander of Springfield, Mo., and Tod L. Alexander of Mullinville; three brothers, Mervin Alexander of Denver, Arlin Alexander of Satanta, and Duane Alexander of Ulysses; and a sister, Susan Helsel of Dexter.

Funeral was at Pleasant Prairie Church of God, Satanta. Burial was at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette.
