Arthur Deutschman, 86, of Windom died Feb. 20, 2002, at Worthington Regional Hospital in Worthington.
Services were held Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook with Rev. Roy Williams officiating.
Special music was provided by Betty Rupp, organist.

Casketbearers were Tom Deutschman, Duane Deutschman, Kevin Deutschman, Brent Deutschman, Laura Hagfors, David Deutschman, Guy Deutschman, Denise Wolff, Deanna McEachran and Dain Deutschman.

Interment was at Westbrook Cemetery in Westbrook.
Westbrook Funeral Home of Westbrook was in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Arthur M. Deutschman was born Nov. 23, 1915, to Jacob and Ida (Koerlin) Deutschman in Des Moines River Township of Murray County. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. He attended District 67 School in Des Moines Township.

In 1936, Arthur married Margaret Sievert in the Lutheran church in Swanville. A son, Dareld, was born to them in 1937 before Margaret died in a tractor accident that same year.

In 1939, Arthur married Bertha Manwarren. They farmed the Deutschman homestead until Art's retirement and during that time Art did combining, welding, graded roads and filled silos for neighbors.

Art was a member of the Farmer's Union and the Dundee Rod and Gun Club. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his first wife, Margaret, Arthur was preceded in death by his son, Dareld in 1991, and six brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha of Windom; two sons, Dennis (Pat) Deutschman of Heron Lake and Gene (Carol) Deutschman of New Brighton; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Marion, of St. Paul.
