Herman Moomaw Killed in Boiler Blast in Aurora, Ill.

Word was received here last Friday by Glen Moomaw of the serious injury of his brother, Herman, in a boiler blast at the electric plant at Aurora, Ill. Mr. Moomaw left Sunday for Aurora, and was with his brother when he died a few days following the accident.

Mr. Moomaw with several others had been working in front of one of the big boilers when it backfired, enveloping the workmen in flames. He dashed from the building into a river just outside, extinguishing the fire in his clothing, then returned and helped put out the flames inside the building. Two others were killed in the same blast.
