Mrs.Vesta Sparks, 73, died Thursday, February 5, in Highlands Regional Medical Center.

Daughter of the late Delone and Rissie Kelly Evans, she was born February 14, 1902, in Johnson County.

She was a resident of Wittensville, and a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, J.W.Sparks; three sons, Duell of Hillard, OH, Darrell of Chillicothe, OH, and Delmar of Westerville,OH; three daughters, Opal Barker of Morehead, Neva Barker and Marlene Ross, both of Paintsville; two brothers, Rev.Oscar Evans of Columbus and Rev. Homer Evans of Martha, a sister, Golda Skaggs of Keaton;12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 8, in the Point Pleasant Church at Skaggstown, KY with Reverends C. H. Wallen, Harold Salyer,and Ellis Hamilton officiating.
Burial was in the Point Pleasant Church Cemetery at Skaggstown with Paintsville Funeral Home handling arrangements.
