SHEARS - - Vern R. Shears, aged 77, of Centreville, passed away Thursday in Three Rivers Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Ina; two daughters, Mrs. John (Lucille) Hudson of Sturgis and Mrs. Louis (Leola) Barnes of Grand Rapids; two sons, Louis R. And Lyle F. both of Centreville; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Rood of Grattan, Mich., and Mrs. Orin Krontz of Centreville; two brothers, Ralph of Burr Oak, Otis of Grant, Mich. Funeral services will be at the Rexcode Funeral Home in Centreville at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial in Prairie River Cemetery.
