Mrs. Dortha E. Marker, native of Pittsboro, died Saturday morning in the Witham Hospital, Lebanon, at the age of 49.
She received her education in the Pittsboro Schools and was a member of the Baptist Church. In 1941 she was married to Lawrence Marker of Pittsboro.
Services were in the Gregory Funeral Home, Monday afternoon, with the Rev. Sherman Essex officiating. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.
Survivors include the husband, Lawrence; two daughters, Winona and Carolyn Marker, two sons, Keith and Paul Marker, all at home; mother, Mrs. Maude Agan, all of Pittsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Rowena Buchanan, of Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Cleo Marker; and one brother, Herschel Agan.
