MURPHY, Donald 65, of Northridge, passed away Monday May 24, 2010 at his home. Don was born in Estill County, Kentucky on March 2, 1945 to Lonnie & Hazel Murphy. He was a member of the Meadowdale Baptist Church and was retired from Northridge Schools. Preceded in death by his wife, Elois C., in 2003; son, Christopher; sister, Eula. Survived by his daughter-in-law, Traci Murphy; 2 very special grandsons that were the love of his life, Austin & Kendel; 6 sisters, Ima, Edra, Beulah, Mary, Margie & Midge; 3 brothers, Bonnie, Everett & Tony; special aunt, Jean Sameles; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends. Funeral service 7:00 p.m. Friday at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "North Dayton Chapel," 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Dan Kincer, officiating. Interment 2:00 p.m. Saturday at West Irvine Cemetery, Irvine, Kentucky. Dons family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of service at the George C. Martin Funeral Home.
