Benjamin Elijah Eckles was the son of Thomas Eckles. His name at birth, according to one descendant, might have been Harvey Benjamin Elijah Eckles. His surname was found as Echols or Eckles, but most of the records use Eckles.
I have not found supporting documents at this time for his full name as stated above.

He married Elizabeth Frances "Bettie" Cofer on 31 JUL 1838 in Wilkes County, Georgia. She was the daughter of Joseph Benjamin Cofer and Joanna Mary Langham.
