CR was employed by the Joe Zoettl General Store in Faucett, a farmer in Craig and Corning Mo areas, owned and operated Snyder Standard Service Station in Craig. Later started the Snyder & Sons Phillips 66 Service Station in Gower. He was a school bus driver for the Craig R-III and East Buchanan C-1 school systems. He also operated the Snyder Insurance Agency for over 17 years before retiring in 1985. Member of Gower Masonic Lodge AF & AM, where he served as past master, and the Gower Lions Club where he served as president. He also served on the board of the AAA Auto Club, Mo-Kan Regional Planning Commission Board and the Tri-County Ambulance Board.

Survivors include his wife, Anna, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Marlys Snyder and Ron and Linda Snyder, all of Gower; a sister, Hallie Campbell, St. Joseph; six grandchildren, Mark, Corey, Ryan, Jill, Lyndsay and Jeffrey and one niece, Nancy Jones, and two great-nephews.

Services were held on Tuesday, April 4, at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower Mo; clergyman: Bob Elliott; casketbearers: Dr. E. T. Irinyi, Keith Harris, Loren Schneider, Derald Sawyer, Ernie Lorenson, W. Mitchell Elliott. Music was by Linda Bondenhausen. Burial was in the Frazier MO cemetery.
