ANDREW MOSER SERVICES HELD
Lifelong Resident of Community Dies
Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon from the Tuecke funeral home for Andrew W. Moser, 71, who died last Wednesday following a long illness. The services were conducted by Rev. Howard Black, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church.
Burial was in the Guttenberg City cemetery with the following as pallbearers: Ellsworth Moser of Garber, Jess Moser of Guttenberg, and Harold Moser and Ira Friedlein of Osterdock.
Born in Millville Township October 13, 1886, Mr. Moser was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Moser. On March 29, 1911, he married Bertha F. Hansel and the couple made their home on a farm. He had been a lifelong resident of the community.
Surviving Mr. Moser are Mrs. Moser and six sons, Arthur L. Moser, Ira L. Moser and Richard Moser, all of Guttenberg; Harry Moser of Garnvillo; Lester Moser of Osterdock and Lloyd Moser of Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are three brothers, Clem, Charles and Leonard Moser, and three sisters, Mrs. William Tompkins, Mrs. Harry Borrett and Mrs. Lester Kottke and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, James and Raymond, and by two brothers.
He married Bertha Frona Hansel on March 29, 1911.
