Ilith Louella Amelia Brandt was born April 2, 1918, to Carl and Leona (Gettle) Brandt, in Ryder, ND. Ilith attended high school in Grace City, ND.

She was united in marriage to Chester M. Ingebretson on October 21, 1939, in Grace City. After raising her family, she returned to school and graduated from NDSU, Fargo, ND, in 1971. She worked fifteen years as a registered nurse.

Chester preceded her in death on June 22, 2006. Ilith resided her last nine months at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead. Ilith went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Eventide Lutheran Home, at ninety-two years of age.

Ilith was devoted to her family, leaving them with many fond memories of vacations and family gatherings. She was also devoted to her faith, attending and volunteering at Calvary Church at Village Green in Moorhead. She also supported Child Evangelism Fellowship. Ilith served as a nurse at Camp Joy, an interdenominational Biblebased camp. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, travel to national parks and following current events.

She will be deeply missed by her family and they look forward to an eternal reunion.

Ilith is survived by her five children, Carmen (Fred) Schwenk, Manhattan, KS, Denise (Roger) Thompson, Rapid City, SD, Steven (Pam) Ingebretson, Wichita, KS, Mark (Betty) Ingebretson, Glyndon, MN, and Ben Ingebretson, Lowell, MI; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Ellis (Arlene) Brandt, Carrington, ND; and a sister, Phyllis Black, Carrington.

Visitation for Ilith will be Sunday, May 23, 2010, from 5 – 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Her funeral will be Monday, May 24, 2010, at 1:30 PM, in Calvary Church at Village Green. Burial will be in Walworth Baptist Cemetery, rural Ulen, MN.
