Paul Wilson Brandt was born October 12, 1925, at Barlow, ND, to Carl and Len Brandt. He attended Cherry Lake Township school, and farmed at Grace City and McHenry until 1947, when he started his own farm three miles southeast of McHenry.
Paul married Janet Katherine Gunning on October 23, 1948. Janet, daughter of Joseph and Mae Gunning, was born on June 20, 1925 and attended school in New Rockford. The Brandts have four sons: David, Herman, John and Roy.

Paul died January 7, 1978, and Janet died on March 10, 1988. Both are buried at Bethlehem Cemetery at McHenry.

Additional Information: Survivors also include a granddaughter and a grandson; three sisters, Mrs. Chester (Ilith) Ingebretson Fargo, Mrs. Marjory Meehan, Grace City, and Mrs. Norvin (Phyllis) Black, McHenry and a brother, Ellis Brandt, Carrington.
