James Preston Stacy, 71, of Wolford, died Monday, May 24, 2010 at his home.
Born June 21, 1938 in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Litz and Lila Stacy. He was a former truck driver for a construction company and was of the Old Regular Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Christian, Margie Blankenship and Pearl Blair; and three brothers, Ned, Burt and Earl Stacy.
He is survived by one sister, Yvonne Hurley and husband, Elwood, of Bristol, VA; one brother, Bill Stacy and wife, Kathy, of Bristol, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday), May 27, at 1 p.m. at Virginia Funeral Home Chapel in Grundy with Elders James Stacy, Danny C. Justus, Danny Hurley and Phillip Estep officiating.
Friends may call Wednesday evening after 6 p.m. at the funeral home where a service will be held at 7 p.m.
