Della Yvonne Hurley, 77, of Bristol, Virginia passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Wolford, VA on September 12, 1936, a daughter of the late Litz and Lila Stacy.
She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved cooking for family, friends, neighbors and her church.
Della is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Elwood "Woody" Hurley; children, Diana Fouch and husband Tommy of Bristol, VA, Marvin Hurley of Bristol, VA and girlfriend Jackie Taylor, Judy Fuller and husband Bill of Bristol, VA and Tim Hurley and wife Joy of Piney Flats, TN; grandchildren, Sara, Tiffany, Jamie Lynn, Averi and Allie; great grandchildren, Lexi, Dominic and Karlie; brother, Bill Stacy of Bristol, TN; several nieces and nehpews; and special blessings to Pam and Bill McCoy. The family would like to thank Wellmont Hospice, especially, Kim Smith and Hope Hall, they are God's gift.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, Bristol, VA. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Claude Pennington officiating. The committal service and entombment will be conducted at 3:30 pm in the Heritage Chapel of Memories at Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
