1. William Martin Vanderpool born September 30, 1870 in Jefferson county, Kansas and died February 22,1872. Family stories say he drown in a nearby creek.
2. Weddell S. Vanderpool was born in 1871 in Jefferson county, Kansas and died before 1900 also in Jefferson county, Kansas. [as per Myra Vanderpool Gromley's Descendants of Abraham Vanderpool] there is no mention of him in our family stories.
3. Ellery Everett Vanderpool was born on January 04, 1873 in Oskalousa, Jefferson county, Kansas, he married Anna Mae [May] DeShazer on March 24, 1897 in Oskalousa, Jefferson county, Kansas and died on November 25, 1942 in Oskalousa, Jefferson county, Kansas.
4. Gertrude "Daisy" Vanderpool was born on Febuary 23, 1875 in Oskalousa, Jefferson county, Kansas, she married Fred Joseph Frendel on Febuary 06, 1894 in Jefferson county, Kansas, and died on March 12 1913.
Grandmother Anna May DeShazer Vanderpool always talked as if there were only three children born to Thomas Benton Vanderpool and Ada Stewart, telling as how they said they were only able to raise Ellery Everett and Gertrude Daisy to adulthood, and how sad it was for William Martin to have drown at the age of two years.
