Mabel Cluff Durfee was born to William David and Maybell Cluff, November 28, 1908 in Provo, Utah, the third of six girls. She also had six half brothers. She married Clefton Jabez Durfee February 19, 1926. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 6, 1928. They were parents of four girls. She is survived by daughters; LaWana Peirce, Delores Moffat and Deanna Rawson. She has 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grand-children.

She loved playing piano, organ, accordion, and singing along with Clefton playing the guitar. She had served in the ward as a pianist, teacher and visiting teacher. She was a talented seamstress and both designed and altered the family's clothes. She loved to crochet, needlepoint and creating many beautiful items. Her family was the center of her life and she was a great example of endurance, strength, kindness and love.

Special thanks to friends and those who brought her the sacrament, lovingly attended to her home care (Eclipse), Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army and especially her loving g-son Joseph and other family members who allowed her to live at home until the last two weeks of her life.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in the Cannon 3rd Ward LDS Chapel (1301 S. 1200 W.) from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. The funeral will be held that same day at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery. Condolences can be made to the family at serenicare.com
