Dolores Durfee Moffat, age 85, died January 4, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah, from complications due to Alzheimer's.

Born November 17, 1929 to Clefton Jabez Durfee and Mabel Cluff in Provo, Utah. She married her sweetheart, R. Grant Moffat, November 25, 1948 and they had 64 wonderful years together.

She enjoyed working in the family business, Moffat Brothers Trucking, for many years. She was an animal lover and was always feeding strays and taking in cats and birds. One time Grant brought home an owl from the soil pit with a broken wing and she cared for it for four years.

She loved shopping and she had a natural talent for decorating. Her home was beautiful. She loved and collected dolls and figurines. She loved her family and they were very important to her. She was fun to be with and always made us laugh. Her granddaughters adored her and loved being with her.

Survived by daughter, Charllot (Clay I.) Petersen Jr., and son, Michael Kent (Maurine) Moffat; six granddaughters, Angie, Shelly, Trisha, Jenny, Amy and McKael; 16 great-grandchildren and two sisters, LaWana Peirce and Deanna Rawson.

Preceded in death by her husband, R. Grant Moffat; parents and baby sister, Diana Durfee.

Services held on Thursday, January 8, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd, West Jordan.
