Joseph Davidson Loudermilk
Was born Oct. 26,1826,and departed this life Aug. 23,1903, with that awful disease cancer. He had suffered for nearly a year, but he bore it without a murmur until God released him from his pain and then he went away. He was married to Persis Boone, of Kentucky, and to this union were born six children, five boys and one girl. He was a native of North Carolina and came here with his parents when he was a small boy, and had lived on the place where he died for 50 years. He was a member of New Liberty Church.
