He was 5 years old when he traveled with his parents and siblings from Milltown to Cashmere, WA by train. The older siblings traveled across the country by horse and wagon.
He married Ruth Sarah Staley on July 27, 1919, in Wenatchee, Washington. Ruth was best friends with Jessie's sister Mattie. Ruth's family, the Staleys, were neighbors to the Briskys. Jessie and Ruth had three children during their marriage.
Jessie worked in his parent's apple orchard with his brothers in Cashmere, WA. He served in the US Cavalry during WWI and was stationed in France. When his parents died the orchard was sold and he moved to Kirkland, WA with his wife and kids, and his brother George and sister Mattie.
Jessie opened a Texaco gas station; his brother, George Miles Brisky (1894–1962), opened a small grocery store across the street and his sister, Mattie Jane Brisky Kruchek (1900–1982), ran a restaurant attached to George's store. The area became known as Brisky Corners. Jessie also operated a wood lot and sold firewood which he delivered in his truck.
He died on April 16, 1978, in Kirkland, Washington, at the age of 82, and was buried in the Kirkland Cemetery.
