Bertha Bradley
Funeral services for Mrs Bertha I. Bradley, 87, of Carnegie were conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, October 19 in the First Baptist Church of Fort Cobb. The Rev. Leon Shade of Spiro, a former minister, officiated, assisted by David Bradley.
Mrs. Bradley was born December 10, 1901 in Georgia to A.N. and Nancy Patterson. She died Tuesday, October 17, 1989 in the Carnegie Nursing Home.
She came to Caddo County in 1911 and was married to William L. Bradley May 23, 1924 in Colony. They moved to Lockney, Texas in 1962 from Carnegie where they farmed. She moved to the Carnegie Nursing Home in 1987.
Mrs. Bradley was a member of the Carnegie Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband on October 31, 1977; her parents; two infant sons, Mark and Matthew; three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Martin L. Bradley of Weatherford, Marvin E. Bradley of Fort Cobb and Melvin J. Bradley of Lockney, Texas; two brothers, Richard Patterson of Hydro and Ernest Patterson of Texoma; one sister, Gertrude Lowry of Carson City, Nevada; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Interment was in the Poage Cemetery near Colony under direction of the Fort Cobb Funeral Home.
