Nathan Abbott
Nathan E. Abbott, 51, of 1208 S. Grant St., died Tuesday morning at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
He was the son of Everett and Cora (Burton) Abbott, born Jan. 21, 1924, in Unionville. He was a mechanic and a veteran of World War II. He belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are the wife, Patricia (Hamilton); one daughter, Gloria Jean Jones of Longsdale, Calif.; one son, Jerry Abbott with the U.S. Navy at Athens, Greece; one brother John Abbott of Bloomington; two sisters, Esther Schultz of Columbus and Doris Zavits of Noblesville; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Greene and Harrell Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday.
