Arthur Holbrook 73. died here Wednesday morning following a lengthy illness.
Born March 12, 1900, in Emmett, he had since resided here. He was married to Agnes Flowers in November, 1924. He served in World War I with the U. S. Army.
He was a 40-year employee of Boise Cascade before his retirement. He was active in the American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Agnes, of Ernmett, are five sons, Marvin of Emmett, Jack of Tacoma, Arthur, Jr., of Portland, Ralph of Yakima, and LeRoy of Emmett; two daughters, Bonnie Roper of Boise, and Biliie Smith of Emmett; one brother, Sam Holbrook of American Falls; four sisters, Della Geer of Twin Falls, Alam Parks of Myrtle Creek, Ore., Josephine Rhodes of Myrtle Creek, and Geraldine Harshbarger of Howe; 25 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services will be held Friday at 2 P.M. at the Beatty chapel with the Rev. Harry Granger of the First Baptist church officiating. Interment will be in Emmett.
The family suggests memorials to the Mountain States Tumor Institute.
