Perry Dodge Coffey, 76, of 281 N. Baird, Waynesboro, died Monday (Jan. 11, 1993) at his residence.
He was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Augusta County, a son of the late Ernest and Rosey Taylor Coffey.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a past member of Stuarts Draft Mennonite Church. He was previously employed at Basic Witz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Coffey; a son, Billy Coffey; four brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Betty Fitzgerald of Lyndhurst and Barbara Wells of Sherando; three sons, Bobby Coffey of Waynesboro, Homer Coffey of Stuarts Draft and Perry D. Coffey Jr. of Sherando; two brothers, Earl Coffey of Stuarts Draft and Wilson Coffey of Waynesboro; two sisters, Polly See of Waynesboro and Nellie Clark of Stuarts Draft; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Lyndhurst United Methodist Church cemetery by Daniel Kanagy.
Stuarts Draft VFW Post 9339 will conduct military honors at the grave.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home.
