Cesarine came with her family to the La Reunion Colony from France when she was 17. She married Emile Remond on July 28, 1865.
A photo of Cesarine and other La Reunion colonists was published in The Dallas Morning News on May 31, 1906.
Her obituary said she was "well known to the early settlers of this section and took a prominent part in the early affairs of the community." She and her husband, Emile, had no children.
