Austin Clark, 73, a long time Troy resident died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007 at his home in Troy from natural causes. He was born July 25, 1934 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho to Dave and Thelma Sweet Clark. He grew up out on old U.S. Highway 2 and attended the McCormick School. He attended Troy High School and graduated in 1951.

He married Betty Lou Green on Feb. 11, 1956. He worked as a sawyer for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, guns, motorcycles, and welding and fabrication.

His wife Betty Lou and a great-granddaughter preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children Bruce Clark and his wife Linda of Troy, George Clark and his wife Candy of Troy, and Teresa Fisher and her husband Wayne of Troy; brother Richard Clark; sister Shirley Baker and her husband Richard of Moyie Springs, Idaho; seven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date. Local arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby
