SPOKANE
Service for Thelma Loraine (Sweet) Clark, 91, will be today at 2 p.m. at Bonners Ferry (Idaho) Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.
Mrs. Clark, who was born in Lansing, Mich., died Monday.
She moved to Boundary County with her family in 1912 and graduated from Bonners Ferry High School.
Mrs. Clark married David Clark in 1929, and they lived in the Bonners Ferry area for four years before moving to Yaak, Mont.
They lived in Butte, Mont., and in 1945 moved to the State Line, Mont., area, where they lived for over 50 years.
Mrs. Clark worked on a tree farm in 1949 and 1950 and later became a housekeeper and cook for two ranchers in Cheney during the early 1970s.
She returned to Bonners Ferry in 1999 and moved to the Willow Grove Care Center in Spokane in 2000.
She enjoyed reading.
Her husband died earlier.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Baker of Bonners Ferry; two sons, Austin Clark of State Line, Mont., and Richard Clark of Arizona; 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.
