Born in Phoenixville in 1920, Edward was the son of Irene (nee, Zieser) and Edward H. Donohue, both deceased. After graduating High School, he attended Millersville State College, where he earned his Degree in Education. He was a teacher at Media High School, Mt. Pleasant Junior High in Wilmington, Del., where he taught middle school shop and Concord High School, until his retirement in 1983.
Edward was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church since 1953. He attended since 1951 and was very involved, serving as a deacon, choir member, Sunday School teacher and head usher for many years. He also enjoyed woodworking and carving and spending time with his family.
Edward is the father of James E. (Cynthia), Douglas J. (Mary) and E. Theodore (Ann), and the late David C. (Diane), and PopPop to 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert Donohue (Jean), Donald Donohue (the late Eloise) and Betty DeBeck (the late Edward).
He was predeceased by siblings, Dorothy Donohue Grater (the late Christian), Nancy Donohue Schubert (the late Frank), George Darwin Donohue (Katheryn Kopicki), Ronald Charles Donohue, and Shirley Ann Donohue.
Friends are invited to call on the family from 10 to 11 a.m. and to an 11 a.m. Funeral Service on Wednesday April 25, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, PA 19382.
