George A. Banning

KENTON, May 8 - George A. Banning was found dead in bed at his home in Dudley-tp yesterday by his son, Orville, with whom he made his home.

A lifetime resident of Hardin-co, Banning was born in Dudley-tp May 30, 1870. He served as assessor and on the county school board for three terms at one time.

He was married to Eva Pfeiffer Apr. 20, 1893, and she died. Surviving are three sons, Edwin, Marion; Norlon, Dunkirk, and Orville; five brothers, Norton and John, Hepburn, Jacob, Sebring, Frank, Santa Ana, Calif., and Howard, Winchester, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Everhart, Buck-tp, and Mrs. Inez Duff, Sebring.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Schindewolf funeral home with Rev. T. J. Haire of Ada officiating. Burial will be in Lee cemetery.
