At the home of her youngest son, John who lives in the village, who died on Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock of heart trouble, well prepared for the inevitable journey into eternity, Mrs. Susanna Willenbring, mother of the Rev. Joseph Willenbring, pastor of St. Boniface parish in Melrose. She reached the age of 79 years and was for the last two years suffering illness that she bore resigned to God's Holy will. The decedent was born in Dyersville, Iowa, from where she came as a young girl with her parents to Minnesota, where they settled on a farm north of Richmond and where she spent the greater part of her life. Her death will be mourned by four sons and four daughters whom in her the surviving children lose a mother, who always was concerned with the betterment of her children. These are Franz and Joseph of Richmond, Heinrich of St. Henry North Dakota, Rev. Joseph Willenbring of Melrose; Mrs Val Engelhard, Mrs. John Backes, Mrs. Jacob Fuchs from St. Henry, North Dakota and Mrs. Joseph Backes from Farming. And with their sorrow participates a brother, Ferdinand Klostermann from Farming and two sisters, Mrs. Hermann Ramler of Richmond and Mrs. Agnes Bock of Roscoe.
Saturday morning at 10:30 Rev. Willenbring of Sts. Peter and Paul church celebrated a Requiem mass at which the house of God was filled with worshippers who then gave the deceased their final respects at the cemetery and who joined in prayer with the priest for the repose of the soul of the departed. May good mother Willenbring rest in peace. To the surviving children our heartfelt condolences.
