DOYLE - James J., 65, Smokeless, New Florence R.D. 2, died evening of Aug. 13, 1962, at home. Born May 5, 1897, in Jamestown, Pa., son of Edward and Theresa Doyle. Preceded in death by parents and 2 sisters, Mrs. Margaret Neu and Pauline Doyle. Survived by widow, the former Edna Collins, and 2 sons: James E., New Florence, and William J., New Florence R.D. 2. Brother of Mrs. Mary Gibson and Mrs. Elizabeth Lidwell, both of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Geneve Neubauer, Mrs. Theresa Erdhart and Mrs. Mildred Taylor, all of Pittsburgh; Frank, Murrysville; Edward and Thomas, both of Seward. Also 3 grandchildren. Retired chief electrician for the Pennsylvania Electric Co. Mines. Member of Mine Rescue Squad. Served as football coach at United High School in 1944, ‘45 and ‘45. Friends received after 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence. Service at 9 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, the Rev. Bernard Brinker. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
