The third surviving son of David and Ida Chambers Campbell Cassatt, born in Gettysburg December 23, 1876. He worked as a farm hand at the Oddfellows home in Middletown, at the hospital in Norristown an as a car oiler for the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1905 until his retirement in 1940.

While working at the Norristown Hospital, he met Emily Bell Moore. They married on April 18, 1905 in Steelton, PA.

They lived much of the time in Harrisburg,PA and had four children:

Earl Milton Cassatt 1905-1983
Linus Moore Cassatt 1907-1978
Harriet Ada Cassatt Smith 1910-2008
Hazel Alberta Cassatt German 1913-1957

After his wife Emily passed away in 1962, Milton lived with his daughter in Maytown, PA until he passed away on July 7, 1972.
