Wanda Bowler McAllister passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009, just three weeks short of her 94th birthday. She was born July 16, 1915, in Gunlock, Utah, to Francis J. Bowler and Annie Holt Bowler. Wanda married Clark McAllister June 19, 1935. They spent the first 20 years of their married life in Pioche, Nev., and moved their family to Las Vegas in 1955. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ed McAllister; seven brothers; and three sisters. She leaves behind her sister, Maxine Lindsay; brother-in-law, Glen McAllister; daughters, Janet Gillins (Elden) and Sydnee Smith (David); grandchildren, Clark Gillins, Lori Vanus (Craig), Julie Breckenridge (Robert), Michael Gillins (Mary), Ed McAllister, Shelly Kulesza (Jay), Shaynee Boynton (Randy) and Matt Smith; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many, many nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be at noon Monday, June 29, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas.
