Mother Angle, as she was known to her many friends, was born Jan. 24, 1831, in Shippensburg, and was a daughter of Davis and Catherine Kenower. On October 10, 1852 she was united in marriage with Jeremiah Angle, who died Feb. 13, 1892.
Mrs. Angle has been a life-long member of the Church of God of this place, having united with the church about sixty-four years ago. she was a charter member of the Church of God Sabbath School, and was one of its most faithful workers all her life.
A woman of the highest Christian integrity, her efforts and influence in the Master's work here, will be sadly missed; but solace for her bereaved family comes with the assurance of a higher reward she so richly merited.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alice Garling, Hagerstown, Md.; Mrs. Ada Brewbaker, Macomb, Ill., and four sons, Edward, Harry, David and Robert, all of this place.
Funeral services were held in the Church of God Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. MacDannald officiated, assisted by Rev. Getz and Rev. Plummer. Interment in Spring Hill Cemetery.
