ALFORD LEE "AL" BARNETT

Graveside services for Alford Lee "Al" Barnett, 77, Davis, were March 27 at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Junior Thomas officiating. Arrangements were by Fox Funeral Home.

Barnett was born May 23, 1917 at Elmore City and died March 25 at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital, Sulphur. His parents were Lee W. and Derusha (Donaldson) Barnett. He married Estelle Hughes December 31, 1937 at Pauls Valley and lived in this area all his life. He was a veteran of World War II and a welder for Helmerich and Payne.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Patricia Busby and Virginia Martin, both of Davis; a son, Alford Lee Barnett Jr. of Davis; a sister, Joan Cardwell of Dixon, California; two brothers, Clifford Barnett of Sulphur and Bob Barnett of Davis, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Gladys Shortes, and four brothers, Lewis, Leroy, Jack and Rollie Barnett.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
