Florence L. Hunter, 99, of Ossian, died at 7 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 1999, at Ossian Health Care.
She, with her late husband, Halden, operated the Hunter Supply House at Ossian for 30 years.
Mrs. Hunter was a member of the Ossian United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was born in Wells County Sept. 19, 1900 to Robert and Mary Milligan Hatfield. Her marriage to Halden H. Hunter, who died Jan. 26, 1970, took place in Ossian on Dec. 24, 1921.
Surviving are three sons, Jack of Fremont, and Bruce and Larry, both of Ossian; a sister, Pauline Brubaker of South Whitley; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m. today at Elzey & Haggard Funeral Home at Ossian with Rev. Michael Heinbaugh officiating. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery at Ossian. Visitation hours were Sunday.
