Anna married her 1st cousin, Alfred Kuykendall on November 7, 1843 in Clark Co., IL. Anna's mother was Catherine Jane Peery and Alfred's mother was Catherine Peery's sister, Mary (Polly) Peery. It was not unheard of to marry cousins in the mid 1800's.
The 1860 census in Wisconsin shows Anne and Alfred Kuykendall living next door to her parents Jacob and Catherine (Peery) Long. They were a farming family. There is also a Cynthia Peria (Peery) living with them who was 36 years old and born in Illinois.
In the 1870 census Alfred and Anna are living with Nancy age 14 and her mother, Catherine Long, age 81.
In 1880 the census shows Anna and Alfred living with their 24 year old daughter Nancy Elizabeth.
