Dorothy B. Pavlick, age 91, of Easton, died at her home, Tuesday, May 18, 2010. She was the wife of the late Joseph Pavlick. Mrs. Pavlick was born March 24, 1919 in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late John and Susan (Sirotnak) Blake. She was a graduate of Warren Harding High School, Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Bridgeport. Mrs. Pavlick was employed at Remington Arms during the World War II period. After raising her family, she resumed her working career at Bridgeport Hospital, Easton Public Health as a visiting nurse, and as a longtime nurse at Easton's Samuel Staples Elementary School. Mrs. Pavlick was an original member of Notre Dame of Easton Church and a member of the Woman's Guild. She was also a longtime member of the Easton Commission for the Aging. She was an Easton Senior Center Volunteer for many years. Mrs. Pavlick is survived by a daughter, Kathi Pavlick-Aguado and her husband, Bill of Bronx, NY; two sons, Dan Pavlick and his wife Elaine and Dave Pavlick and his wife, Patti all of Woodbury; two sisters, Alice Baksay of Easton and Madge Holt of Ormand Beach, Fla.; five grandsons, Marc, Todd, Sean, Kyle and Scott Pavlick and six nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10 a.m. meeting directly at Notre Dame of Easton Church, 655 Morehouse Road, Easton. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Easton. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
