RAMON ISIDORO "CUEVA" VIGIL Age 78 of Glorieta, died as the result of a recent illness. Survived by wife of 55 years, Imelda Vigil; daughters: Lourdes Lujan and husband Eugene, Roseanne Lopez and husband Jerry, Carlotta Vigil; sons: Mark Vigil and wife Georgiana, Ray Vigil and wife Teresita Vigil. He had 10 grandchildren: Brenda Tanuz and husband Randy, Mark Jr. and wife Brenda, Matthew Vigil, Jenine Ortiz and husband Josh, Monica Lopez, Alysha Baca, Jordan Baca, Audriana Vigil, Mariah Vigil and Patricio Vigil; and 10 great grandchildren who loved their "Grandpa Cowboy". He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon L. and Martha Vigil; brothers: Luciano Vigil and wife Lucia, Patricio Vigil and wife Genevieve, Carmen Varela and husband Eduardo; sisters, Delfinia Velarde; brother-in laws: Merejildo Roybal, Guillermo and wife Josie; sister in-laws: Nemesia Varela, Claudia Varela; and good friends Joe R. and Marie Maes, Harold and Ruby Lujan. He is survived by his sisters: Cleo Roybal, Eva Lucero and husband Rudy, Angie Gonzales and husband Pete, brother Ernesto Vigil and wife Vickie; brother-in laws: Christobal Velarde, Frank Varela, and Cipriano Varela; and numerous nephews and nieces. Ramon was the owner of La Cueva Construction Company for over 40 years. He was an accomplished rancher whose life's passion was working with his cattle. Pallbearers: Mark Vigil, Jr., Matthew Vigil, Patricio Vigil, Jordan Baca, Jerry Lopez and Eugene Lujan. Honorary Pallbearers: All his great grandchildren, friends, close family and his employees. Services will be as follows: Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at Berardinelli Mortuary and also on Thursday afternoon with a viewing followed by a rosary starting at 2 p.m. at St. Anthony's Parish in Pecos NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Parish in Pecos, NM followed by burial at Parish cemetery.
